I tried to send a testing e-mail to my yahoo account to check and see if my Outlook Express was working properly, and I got this message:

Some errors occured while processing the requested task.
Please review the list of errors below for more details.
The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was 'kayla.rolfsen@yahoo.com'. Subject 'Test', Account: 'imap.aol.com', Server: 'smtp.aol.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '553 5.7.1 : Sender address rejected: not logged in', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 553, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

The vampirefansite@webname.com is my e-mail that is linked to my website. I have it set up under Mail.Com and I had a recent post asking what my Incoming server and Outgoing server was, and received:
Incoming imap.aol.com
Outgoing smtp.aol.com

How do I fix the problem I am having with sending?

Check your previous question on mail.com incoming and outgoing server. I have researched it further for you there.

Going by the information you have submitted as to why the message could not be sent......the receipients was rejected by the server. So sounds like a problem with the yahoo address you entered. Try sending an email to yourself using the same email to and from, if this doesn't work. Try.....

1.On the Tools menu, click Account Settings.

2.On the E-mail tab, click the account that you want to modify, and then click Change.

3.On the Change E-mail Account dialog box, click More Settings.

4.On the Outgoing Server tab, select the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication check box.

5.Choose one of the following options:

Click Use same settings as my incoming mail server. This is the most common choice.

Click Log on using and type your User Name and Password.

Click Log on to incoming mail server before sending mail.

Typically to send an email using Outlook Express you need to use the outgoing server of your internet provider. Is your internet provided by aol? If not, find out what service provider you use for internet and look up their smtp server info and enter that. Good Luck.
