Hello,

Check with your systems administrator at work if there is a session time limit on the VPN connection? Some times there are implemented because of security.

Other reasons could be that your internet connection is dropping out and this is causing the VPN connection to fail. You can check the quality of your internet connection by calling your ISP and asking them to check if there are any 'line errors'. If there are a high number of line errors your ISP should be able to make recommendations to fix this.

Also it can be the VPN client that you are using on your computer. The windows ones for the most part are fine but you may benefit from purchasing an alternative. There are many of them out there and most of them will allow you to test them for a trial period before buying.

Lastly the VPN device at your work maybe poorly configured or the hardware VPN device may be bad quality. Try asking your systems administrator if they have any other users with the same problems.

I hope this gives you a few good places to start troubleshooting your VPN.
