i need a cable modem with two ethernet ports?

ok my current modem has one e net port and it works but i need to hook up my 360 at the same time as my pc and for some reason my pc can`t get internet through a usb port any more and it needs a e net port but the same goes for my 360 i need to find a cable modem that has two ethernet ports any ideas where i can get 1

Modems come with only one ethernet port, because they are designed for single users and do not assign multiple IP addresses. What does assign IP's is a router, either wired or wireless.

You would plug in your ethernet cable to the WAN or Internet port (depending on what it's labeled as) on the router, and then plug your computer and xbox in to any of the other ports on it.

Wireless routers also have wired ports on them (usually 4), so if you are looking to buy one, I'd recommend a wireless one since it's cheaper than a wired router. They do the same thing, and you are getting more for less money. Wireless routers are mass produced which makes them cheaper in the market.

No need, just put a switch or router in between. If your ISP only allows 1 device then get a residential gateway /router. Your situation is exactly what they are for. With one of those you can easily get 254 nodes on a class c network behind it.
