If your purpose is to just reach the emails and fooling around over the internet then you may use any proxy sites, e.g. hidemyass.com, surfnet.com etc. Enjoy!

If your router is set to DHCP (in other words you didnt manually enter the IP) you can change it depending on the subnet. You can find this out using ipconfig /all (in windows command prompt). You can change your IP without screwing around with the router by right-clicking your local area connection icon (where the time is displayed), selecting status, the click properties, double click internet protocol. based on the information you see from ipconfig add a few digits to the last three digits on the ip field (ex. 192.168.1.3 ---> 192.168.1.10). thats all there is to it. Unfortunately the IP shown when you access your email will be your router's IP which is more or less dependent on your Internet service provider. find out if you have a static IP or dynamic one. static IPs dont change! if you have a dynamic ip, all you have to do is turn off your router and computer for a few minutes and then try again.

Your router should have a "release"/"renew" option in its control panel... somewhere.
... if you have a router, changing the IP on your PC isn't going to do you any good, I'm afraid. (Your PC is on the router's internal network, the router's IP is what is shown to the outside world)

if you are using Vista or XP you should not need to reboot the PC as to the router I don't think that you can as it is set up to let setup IP's through.
I can't see it working even if it is set up for DHCP

if you're talking about you're pc's ip address...
click start, click run, type CMD then click OK. at the DOS prompt, type IPCONFIG /RELEASE then press enter. at the DOS prompt, type IPCONFIG /RENEW and press enter. wait 3-5 minutes. (there is a possibility that you'll get the same address though) at the DOS prompt, type IPCONFIG /ALL then press enter, to check computer's ip address.
