I have a WGT624 router and I am wondering how do i open it up so i can play on xbox live. It's rather boring having a strict nat and I cannot seem to find anything that helps me with my router.
Passwords are set up as a protection gadget to save unauthorized human beings out. in case you ignore or lose your password on a house grade router like the only you've there is little you need to do. once you've a router with a serial port and also you retained the log in protocol in a Hyper Terminal account you need to get in through the serial port and get a written exhibit of each of the configuration data using CLI (command line interface). besides the indisputable fact that you aren't any more waiting to do this because you do not have one of those port on that homestead grade router. in reality you could not even do a "prepare run" exhibit of the equipment configuration on any such router. this is a disadvantage of the less expensive homestead grade routers. base line - you would ought to apply the generating facility reset button and reset the config to production facility default and reconfigure from the floor up. formerly you condem the maker of the gadget do not ignore that you're responsible for documenting what you probably did including passwords. it is not the maker's fault on your failure to record. you want something it is fool data. undergo in thoughts between the principals of Murphy's regulation which states you could not make something fool data because idiots are develishly ingenious and are unwilling to record necessary documentation.

What worked for me is going going into my router settings and selecting UPnP (Universal Plug and Play). My NAT changed to open and I've had no problems since. I hope this works for you as well.
