I want to be able to access Windows 7 from my Mac OS X. I have RDC on my Macbook but I'm just having such a big problem connecting it. I think I tried all possible ways and I still cannot connect and I'm getting some error messages. Does it have something to do on the way they are connected on the Internet? These two computers are both connected wirelessly and I have a third computer that is connected to the modem/router.
I turned off Mac firewall thinking that might help. But it didn't
I have the IP address of the PC that I want to remotely connected to from my Mac. I also have the exact username at and password.
I just want to be able to use my Macbook to access my Windows computer.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

hi

Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection enables you to connect from your Macintosh computer to a Windows-based computer and work with programs and files on that computer. Mac users who have access to a Windows-based computer on a network, can use Remote Desktop Connection as an alternative to Microsoft Virtual PC for Mac.

To connect to a Windows-based computer, you need network access and permission to connect to the computer. In addition, the Windows-based computer must be running Terminal Services or Remote Desktop Services. The following Windows products support Remote Desktop connections:

Here is the easy way

If both computers are on your LAN

Download and install one of the free VNC programs such as UltraVNC or TightVNC. Both have Mac versions

Start the server on the Windows Machine

Start the viewer on the Mac

Enter the IP address

Enter the password

If you are using the Internet

Set up an account on a free remote control site like Logmein.com

Add the Windows machine to the account and load the software

From the Mac, access your account, double click on the machine

enter the password

better promotion, a larger useful promotion and promotion group, undemanding format, homogeneity. pc interior of reason any pc now no longer a mac, and needless to say they are going to run the gamut in extreme high quality/fee/format. as a result the only factor that Macs extremely have over each and every pc is they might run Apple proprietary utility. there is likewise a image factor that i'm noticing with Macs. with the aid of their branding and promotion Macs are spoke of as "cooler" than their pc counterpart particularly subcultures. i'm on condition that truly some you place down 'virus loose' as between the main experts of a mac. That even nonetheless has to do with the Unix based working gadget run on the Mac somewhat than the Mac itself. If pc clientele are so susceptible, they might additionally get a scourge loose working gadget in between the quite a few Linux flavors.
