You have to set it up beforehand, and it's tricky to do without exposing yourself to security risks.

There are several options :

1. use a connectivity tool, such as PC anywhere or GOTOMYPC to remotely connect to the other PC.

2. Set up a publicly accessible folder on your PC & connect to it from school (you will need to know the ip address, which typically changes from time to time, unless you paid for a static address). You need to turn file sharing on for this, which is a security threat.

3. an easy work-around, if you use internet based email, such as Yahoo, would be to keep the most current version of the document in a draft email - then you can access it from anywhere (but again, you have to plan ahead for this)

4. Why not use a USB thumb drive & carry it with you - that way you always have the most recent version.

many the form to try this, you could Google tensechronic backup and pay for an area to characteristic data on the information superhighway and then can acquire from everywhere. you additionally can get a server to apply, yet it is in all probability overkill. you additionally can use an exterior tensechronic or USB flashchronic to flow the data. Or if it incredibly is temporary, take the tensechronic out and plug it into the computer you prefer to go them to, flow them, then placed the tensechronic back interior the unique computer

If u have Windows XP Pro on it .. u can log on to it remotely ...just Right click on my Compter go to the Remote Tab then Check the box that says "Allow users to connect remotely to this computer". .then note down your home PC's IP address.

and log off . .do not shutdown.

then in school. .. assuming its XP Pro. Go to C:\WINDOWS\system32 and run mstsc.exe

this will open up a Remote Desktop console. . put in your home pc's IP address in and Log on using ur home Username & password. -

Note- While using RD u cannot copy files from home to school. . u can do that with 3rd party warez like gotomypc.com or webex. . . . if u need access to a word file like ur resume . . its best to mail it to yourself to a free online email account.

you cant do this unless you have some sort of remote control program on your school computer and it is unlikely that your school will let you install such a program
