Ok so I have been chatting with a friend of mine online for a long time. Sometimes in the middle of our chat he invites me to "REMOTE ASSISTANCE" thing and everytime I ask him what that is he ignores me and says nothing. But I never accept the invite because I don't know what that is. Can you please explain to me what "msn remote assistance" is? Thanks in advance.

When you grant someone permission to Remote Assistance, you basicly give them full access to your computer. They see everything on the screen and can access all your file, move the mouse around, and do what ever they want.

The point of this is so that you can call someone and set it up so that the person can help you and show you how to do stuff on the computer without them having to drive all the way over to your house.

only do this with people you know and are requesting them to help you do something for you on your computer.

Remote Assistant means the other person can see your screen and with your permission take control of your computer and make changes as you would. Only trust people who you know any person can place hundreds of viruses and Trojans on your computer that could kill your computer. So take great care of who you let Remote Assist you.

That means your "friend" wants to get into your system. Remote assistance allows users in remote locations gain access to your computer. Unless you are having a problem keep on denying access.

By remote locations I mean anyone outside of your local system.
