The server at www.msnbc.msn.com can't be found, because the DNS lookup failed. DNS is the network service that translates a website's name to its Internet address. This error is most often caused by having no connection to the Internet or a misconfigured network. It can also be caused by an unresponsive DNS server or a firewall preventing Google Chrome from accessing the network.
Here are some suggestions:
Reload this webpage later.
Check your Internet connection. Restart any router, modem, or other network devices you may be using.
Check your DNS settings. Contact your network administrator if you're not sure what this means.
Try disabling network prediction by following these steps: Go to the wrench menu > Options > Under the Hood and deselect "Predict network actions to improve page load performance." If this does not resolve the issue, we recommend selecting this option again for improved performance.
Add Google Chrome as a permitted program in your firewall's or antivirus software's settings. If it is already a permitted program, try deleting it from the list of permitted programs and adding it again.
If you use a proxy server, check your proxy settings or contact your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is working. If you don't believe you should be using a proxy server, adjust your proxy settings: Go to the wrench menu > Options > Under the Hood > Change proxy settings... > LAN Settings and deselect the "Use a proxy server for your LAN" checkbox.
Error 105 (net::ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED): Unable to resolve the server's DNS address.

When this happens, you need to check the lights on your modem. They will tell you exactly where the problem is. If the internet/online light is off or blinking, then its a problem with your Comcast service. And I know someone is going to say it, so preemptively, this is not a DNS problem.

I get the same error for months now. On the Comcast connection there is one site that never works and always gives this message. I take the same computer and log in to a Fairpoint connection and everything works just fine. I go back to the Comcast connection and no go. I try a proxy while on the Comcast connection and everything works just fine. It seems as though Comcast is actively blocking the web address but that doesn t make any sense as the website is nothing to shake a stick at. Nothing questionable or anything on it. Just a simple and basic photographers website. Not sure what to do to fix the issue other than drop Comcast like a bad habit as their service techs all say the connection is fine and there is nothing wrong.

I had problems with Comcast at one point too. Before you get too technical, check every connection from the wall to the computer. When you know every thing is tight, try your computer again. I don't know how those connections come loose, but they do, even when they are just laying there on the rug. Hope that helps and it's that simple. Good luck.

I was having that problem about a week ago...we have Comcast, and I have a wireless network for my laptop set up...around midnight everynight for a week it would disconnect and I would have to jump to my neighbor's connection...I tried everything and it wouldn't work....and then it just stopped...If I were you I would try calling comcast to see if there is something going on with the wiring around your neighborhood...or maybe they are doing line maintance...

Comcast is the the problem. Here in my area that's all I hear. I have internet sometimes and sometimes I don't. here in the country right where I am it's not available for me. Thank God! People all around me do have it. A lot have switched to AT&T. AT&T is the only choice I have. Good luck I hope they get it straighten out for you.
