never mind the reason why, if my router has an option permitting me to ban access to a specific IP address or site, how do i obtain the IP the fortnite app (for ipad) accesses to start up. Odds are i cant ban the server access but, some sort of portal or something, i probably can.

Anyway, how do i get the IP addresses that an ipad would connect to while initializing and playing that game? is there a way for me to get the IPs or addresses of some other form, of their servers?

Or does anyone happen to know which servers i need to block?

ironically my wifi doesnt allow me to throttle the speed, in any way, otherwise i would just do that instead.

Best way is probably to use an Open DNS server. They permit you to ban things like games.

Fortnite uses Amazon Web Services (last time I checked) so there are lots of possible IP's to block. You can start by checking your area here http://www.cloudping.info/ see what shows up and block those IP's. It may block some things you want as well. If you have a LOG in you router, enable it, check the log to see if the IP;s being used are shown. Some routers don't have logs but many do have them. If all else fails use OPEN DNS https://www.opendns.com/home-internet-security/ and block you should be able to find an easy block for the service. (There are other cloud based DNS solutions but open dns is good and free for personal use. A knowledgeable user can still get around blocks. Another good read is this one... it lists "games" and how to block them on your computer but the names should be able to be blocked at the router firewall (provided it has a good one!).
