How do i fix my constant DNS failure problem?
?

I'm using google chrome, and i'm using a 3 internet dongle.
since i downloaded hamachi to make a LAN with my friend, i keep getting a DNS failure message.
I uninstalled hamachi and it worked perfectly.. until last night.
Now i get the DNS failure messages a lot and it's very annoying.
How can i fix this?
i'm paying £15 a month for this shitty internet when i could be getting better service elsewhere.
anyway, thanks for any answers given (sensible answers)

Change your dynamically assigned DNS servers for public ones that are more reliable. There will be better ones than ones that I give you here, ones more local to you. Anyway, try these in the first instance, see how they work for you, then search Google for public DNS servers, find some local ones.

You can also restart your NET service in admin tools / services each time DNS fails, but this doesn't address the underlying problem. You can write a script into a .BAT file, while since I've done it, but google NET STOP NET START script.

Lastly another quick fix is to run from CMD prompt. - ipconfig/ flushdns - This flushes the DNS cache and removes any DNS poisoning you may have picked up.

Why on earth would someone want to use mobile broadband unless

they had to because they are always travelling or if they were living

right out in the middle of nowhere is beyond me!

Mobile broadband is unreliable at the best of times that coupled with

finicky USB slots never expect to get a continuous service.

Having never heard of it I looked it up and then had a read into it.

It appears that it allocates and issues you with a new IP Address.

When you uninstalled you left your DNS settings in a mess.

The only thing I can suggest is completely reinstall the dongle software.

That should then reset all your internet settings to the correct ones.

Im curious as to whether or not you're playing Halo. Everytime my kids started playing it our connection would drop . I did a google search as to why it might happen and Halo was the problem. We tested it half a dozen times...If not maybe you could stop what you're doing or playing each time it happens. Since the kids stopped playing it there is no problem.

So..

I found a free downlaod of Google Earth here http://bit.ly/1p6glSu

Google Earth is a virtual globe, map and geographical information program that maps the Earth by the superimposition of images obtained from satellite imagery, aerial photography and geographic information system

Cheers.
